Today was a great day! Our weekend plans got re-arranged when the Grand Opening of our new YMCA waterpark got postponed from today until next Saturday. We were all kind of set on spending the day at the pool. Once we realized that wasn't happening, we took matters into our own hands and decided to go back to Carowinds, but this time for the Grand Opening of their waterpark, Boomerang Bay. For extra fun, we even drove to Charlotte last night and spent the night at a hotel so we would be able to be at the park bright and early. Since I actually have to work on Memorial Day, I was trying to 'create' an out-of-town experience for me and the kids- even if it was just for one night. We had a great time splashing around in the giant wave pool and riding waterslides.
